Over 80 per cent of public charging locations for electric vehicles in Ireland were located in urban areas at the end of last year.
The Central Statistics Office found that of the 1,125 charging locations nationwide, 920 were in urban areas in December 2025.
In Donegal there were 37 Electric Charging locations with 97 charging points.
36 of those were fast electric charging points.
