The Education Minister says the current criteria for school investment is such that there are no plans to replace Scoil Mhuire in Stranorlar with a new school building.
The project was previously included in the government’s Capital Investment Programme but was removed by the current education minister’s 5 year programme.
The issue was raised in the Seanad by Senator Brian O’Dohmnaill – he pointed out the poor conditions teachers and pupils must endure:
