It’s been confirmed that work has begun on the Daffodil Centre at Letterkenny General Hospital, which is being funded with some of the monies raised during Relay for Life 2012.
The work got underway on the eve of Relay for Life 2013, which takes place tomorrow and Sunday in the grounds of Letterkenny Institute of Technology.
Last year’s event raised 350,000 euro, with 71 teams registered for this weekend.
Chairperson Robert O’Connor says while the fundraising is important, cancer awareness is also a vital element of the event………..
