Independent Council Nicholas Crossan has been elected the Cathaoirleach of the new Inishowen Municipal District Committee.
He was nominated for the position as was Sinn Fein Councillor Jack Murray – Councillor Crossan was elected to the chair by 7 votes to 2.
He has described it as a great honour and believes one of the main focuses of the committee should be the further development of tourism:
