A 41-year-old man has appeared at Derry Magistrate’s Court in connection with the finding of what police describe as a haul of drugs valued at £125,000.
Richard Callaghan of 7, Rathmor Crescent in Derry was charged with possessing class B drugs namely cannabis, possessing the drugs with intent to supply and being concerned in the supply of class bi drugs on June 13.
Callaghan was also charged with possessing class A drugs namely cocaine, possessing them with intent to supply and being concerned in the supply of the class A drugs.
A police officer connected Callaghan to the charges.
There was no application for bail and Callaghan was remanded n custody to appear again on July 10.
In a seperate case George Campbell (24) of 68, Northland Road in Derry faced six charges of possessing cannabis and cocaine, possessing the drugs with intent to supply and being concerned in the supply of both drugs.
All the offences were alleged to have been committed on June 14.
Campbell was released on his own bail of £1,000 with two sureties of £500 each.
