Man taken to hospital by air following Arranmore Island fall

A medi-vac has taken place  to transfer a patient from the GAA grounds at Dungloe to Letterkenny General Hospital.
The man is understood to have taken a fall on Arranmore island and suffered a head injury, according to a spokesman at Malin Head Coastguard.
He was transferred by lifeboat to Burtonport and from there to the GAA grounds where the Sligo based Rescue 118 was on standby for the airlift.
