The body of a woman in her 70s has been found in the River Finn this afternoon, following a search which was launched in the Twin Towns yesterday.
Gardaí say they are investigating all the circumstances following the discovery of the body, which has been taken to Letterkenny University Hospital where a post-mortem will take place at a later date.
Gardai have indicated that at present, the woman’s death is being treated as a tragic incident.
