50 stranded as Belfast to Derry train fails

Around 50 commuters were left stranded in the North today after the train broke down en route from Belfast to Derry.
They were stuck in carriages for more than two hours when the mechanical failure occurred near Ballymoney.
The engine breakdown also caused the onboard heating system to close down, leaving passengers to brave cold temperatures during their wait.
They were eventually taken off the train by ladders and transferred to a replacement bus service.
