Sinn Fein voice concerns about Derrys bid to become Capital of Culture

The leader of Sinn Fein on Derry City Council has voiced concerns about the city’s bid to become the UK City of Culture in 2013.
Councillor Maeve McLaughlin said she was not opposed to the bid, but she did not support it in its current form.
Derry, Sheffield, Norwich and Birmingham have been shortlisted for the City of Culture title.
Councillor McLaughlin says the bid doesn’t reflect the current Irish identity that exsists in the City.
