Council anger at HSE over community hospital concerns

The Council has unanimously backed calls for the HSE to clearly
outline the future of the Lifford and Ballyshannon Community Hospitals
with concern that a decision has already been made to close them.
Their futures have been the subject of much speculation of late with
the HSE saying that talk of closures are premature and that both
facilities are part of an overall HSE review.
On the back of a motion from Councillor Cora Harvey the council is to
now seek a meeting with the HSE to seek clarity on the issue.
