Repair works are to begin in the coming weeks on the N56, the main road in the Glenties electoral area. The road was badly damaged in places due to the frost during the winter.
It was annouced at the Committee meeting for the Glenties electoral area yesterday that 525,000 euro has been allocated for repairs.
The road will be resurfaced in the next few weeks.
Local Councillor Seamus O Domhnaill welcomed the funding, and he says the N56 was especially badly damaged around the Ards Forest Park area.
