Donegal based company closes three paper titles

Three  weekly papers owned by the same company closed yesterday
The Sligo, Meath and Cavan Posts, owned by Letterkenny-based River Media, were shut in succession to earlier closures of the Leitrim Post, Wicklow News , and Monaghan Post .
Another paper in the Finn Valley area of Ballybofey and Stranorlar has been merged with the Letterkenny Post.
Staff yesterday were told that the closures were due to a downturn in advertising.
