Over 600,000 euro has been allocated for a new library in Gweedore. Just over a year ago, the local library was lost in flooding which caused substantial damage in the area, and plans were drawn up to replace the former library in a new facility which is currently under construction at the business park in Bunbeg.
Senator Brian O’Domhnaill, who also sits on the board of Udaras na Gaeltachta says confirmation of the funding today will be a welcome boost for those anxiously awaiting the return of their library service……
