GAA – Donegal Hurlers Lose Again At Croke Park

Lory Meagher Cup Final @ Croke Park
Final Score
Longford 1-20 v 1-12 Donegal
The game was just six minutes old when Donegal suffered a major setback, losing their captain and full-back Colm Breathnach to a second yellow card. The Ulster men were fighting a losing battle from that point onwards, and for the second year in a row, had to endure defeat in the final. Trailing 0-12 to 0-7 at the break, Donegal rallied in the early stages of the second half and Paddy Hannigan found the net to close the gap to two poinst. Longford however scored a goal shortly after to put them back in the driving seat and take the win by eight points. Lee Henderson scored five points for Donegal and Danny Cullen noticed over four. After defeat to Tyrone last year it was another disappointing end at Gaa headquarters for the county.
