Donegal students studying in North may be breaking law in relation to VRT

Thousands of Irish students who are studying in Northern Ireland are being warned that they may be breaking the law in relation to Vehicle Registration Tax.
For example, a student from Donegal who has a northern registration and is studying in Belfast and stays there the majority of the week, may have their car seized at the weekend when they return home.
While a student from the Republic who studies in Belfast with a southern registration and stays up there the majority of the week, will not be properly insured.
