Finn Harps dropped to the bottom of the League Of Ireland First Division on Friday night after the 2-1 defeat at the hands of Mervue United in Galway. Marc Brolly had levelled the game for the Donegal side in the 55th minute of the game after Mervue lead 1-0 at the break. Harps did have chances after that to win it but it was the home who scored the second goal on 83 minutes to take the three points and move to sixth in the table. With Salthill beating Wexford Youths Harps have dropped to last place in the standings. Finn Harps are now the only club in the division without a win.
Finn Harps manager Peter Hutton was disappointed with the defeat.
