Gardai investigate Letterkenny armed robbery

An investigation has been launched in to an armed robbery at a service station on the outskirts of Letterkenny.
The incident took place at the Nynes Gala Service Station in Killylastin at around 6.30pm last evening.
A man branding a concealed weapon entered store threatening staff, it is thought he escaped on foot with a significant 4 figure some of money.
No one was injured in the incident, but one staff member was said to be shook-up by her ordeal.
A forensic examination of the scene is underway.
