Medisize in Letterkenny to have new owners

Medisize Ireland in Letterkenny has a new owner after the Medisize Corporation was sold today by its parent company. The new owner is the Phillips Plastics Corporation, which services the medical  and automotive industries.
Medisize says the deal should be complete by the end of next month, subject to approval from relevant competition authorities.
In a statement this afternoon, the Managing Director of  Medisizer  Letterkenny says this will position the company well to prosper for the future.
Michael O’Reilly says since it opened in 1981, the Letterkenny operation has operated successfully and sustained employment in an ever changing industry.
It’s not clear wehat effect if any this will have on the number of people employed at the Letterkenny facility.
