A former Mayor of Letterkenny says it’s vital that Town Council officials and members meet in October to ensure that adequate provisions have been made for the winter.
The council was told this week that additional snow ploughs will be available, including a plan to put small ploughs to be added onto grass cutters for town centre footpaths. Over 100 salt bunkers will be stocked across the town for residents associations, and salt and grit will be made available to the public.
Cllr Tadhg Culbert is welcoming those assurances, and says the council must make support for housing estates a priority………..
