Trawler being towed to Burtonport after engine room fire

A fishing trawler is being towed into Burtonport after a fire was reported on board this evening.
Malin Head Coastguard say they received the call from the vessel at quarter past four this evening. The Sligo based Search and Rescue Helicopter was tasked, as was the Arranmore Lifeboat.
The helicopter arrived at the scene first, closelty followed by the lifeboat. The fire, believed to have been in the engine room was contained, and the vessel is now being towed into Burtonport by the Arranmore Lifeboat.
The helicopter has flown to Donegal Airport to refuel, and is standing by until the stricken trawler has safely docked.
There are four people on board, no injuries have been reported.
