East Derry MLA fears that ferry suspension will hit tourism

The suspension of the Lough Foyle Ferry linking Greencastle and Magilligan will have a serious impasct on tourism to the region according to an East Derry MLA.
John Dallat, who has family connections in Inishowen,  has been a regular user of the service since it started nine years ago.
He says while the local market may be recaptured if the service recommences, the suspension will have long term consequences for tourism on both sides of the border.
He says tourism providers are now preparing their brochures and promotional material for 2012, and will not be able to include details of the ferry………
