Donegal Local Development Company has published its end of year report, saying that all investment targets have been exceeded, particularly in the Leader programme.
DLDC had been allocated just over a million euro for Leader in 2011, but had extra projects ready to proceed in the hope that extra money would become available. It then emerged towards the end of the year that because some other companies nationally were not able to spend their entire allocations, and DLDC applied for, and received, extra funding.
DLDC Chief Executive Caoimhin Mac Aoidh says they were in a position to spend €1.45 million on Leader projects in the county……….
