Budget deal reached in Lifford

There’s been a breakthrough at Donegal Council’s Budget Meeting, with a majority of members set to adopt a revised budget.
Losing a million pounds for local roads was a bridge too far for Fianna Fail, and they were unwilling to allowe the budget go through as long as that was the case.
In the end, a compromise has been reached, with €400,000 fubnd from other sources for roads and a number of other initiatives have also been agreed.
The formal agreements are now being finalised in Lifford.
