Preliminary plans submitted for proposed Omagh crematorium

Bereaved families in Donegal who want to have their loved ones cremated may soon have the option of going to Omagh.
Preliminary planning documents have been submitted for a crematorium at Greenhill Cemetery, with the facility to be run by the private sector with the cooperation of Omagh District Council. If approved, work on the development could start by early next year.
Omagh architect Richard Collins has been doing a lot of preparatory work on the proposal. He says there is no doubt that such a facility is needed, and whikle it will be a private venture, the council’s support will be vital………..
