Cllr Alcorn wants funding for maintenance non-public roads

Donegal County Council says it is not in a position to fund the maintenance of nonpublic roads.
In the past 15 years the Government’s LIS grants provided almost €20 million for the upgrade and maintenance of nonpublic roads – that funding is no longer available.
Councillor David Allcorn says these roads, like accommodation, foreshore and bog access roads are hugely important to rural Donegal.
He says he is going to press the issue further:
