Donegal TDs claim €255,796 in expenses since March 2011

Junior Finance Minister Brian Hayes has defended the expense claims of TD’s – saying politics is not a cheap business.
Six million euro in expenses has been claimed by all TD’s since the 31st Dail first sat last March.
The lowest amount claimed by a Donegal TD is €18,063 claimed by Deputy Dinny Mc Ginley to cover his expenses as a Dail representitive. The bulk of his expenses will come from his position as Junior Minister with responsibility for the Gaeltacht.
Next is Donegal South West Deputy Thomas Pringle, who claimed €42,135. Donegal North East Deputy Padraig Mac Lochlainn claimed €51,174. The remaining three Donegal TDs, Donegal South West Deputy Pearse Doherty and Charlie Mc Conalogue and Joe Mc Hugh of Donegal North East each claimed €51,808.
One Dublin TD, Letterkenny born Eamon Maloney claimed no expenses.
