The government is being urged to publish a new timeline for the release of funding for the A5 upgrade following on from yesterday’s announcement at Stormont by the North’s Finance MInister Sammy Wilson.
Donegal North East Deputy Charlie McConalogue says now is the time for the Government to recommit to funding to the project.
The Executive has committed £330 million to the A5, with 37km of the 88 kilometre stretch to be completed by 2016.
However, Minister Wilson has said he will make no further commitments until the Irish government comes up with more money.
Deputy Mc Conalogue says this needs a positive response………..
