Donegal South-West Deputy, Pearse Doherty has called on the people of Donegal to come together in one voice against the latest health cuts in the county.
In a statement released by the HSE yesterday, it’s stated that the closure of the residential care aspect of Lifford Hospital is proposed as part of the consultation process, while it is understood that counter proposals to keep the facility open and improve its viability will be considered.
A public consultation on the future of the Hospital will now begin on March the 1st.
