Three in court in Derry following cross border incidents on Wednesday

Three men have appeared at Derry Magistrate’s Court yesterday charged in connection with an incident involving a cross border chase.
32-year-old David Kelly of no fixed abode faced two charges of assaulting police and two of resisting police on Wednesday
There was no application for bail and defence solicitor Mr. Paddy MacDermott said that his client had led a ‘nomadic existence’ due to threats to his life.
26-year-old Kevin Barry Harkin was charged with four assaults on police and two charges of resisting police.
There was no bail application for him.
32-year-old Robert Paul McBride whose address was given as 1050 Gortree, Manorcunningham was charged with driving with excess alcohol, four charges of dangerous driving, four charges of failing to stop, two charges of failing to report an accident, three charges of criminal damage one charge of assault and one of attempted grievous bodily harm.
Again there was no bail application and all three were remanded in custody to appear again on March 8.
