Post mortem taking place on Lifford body as further searches get underway

A post mortem will be carried out today on the skeletal remains which were recovered from the River Foyle yesterday morning.
The remains were found at 9 o’clock yesterday morning by workers removing sand from the river
A post mortem will be carried out in Letterkenny General Hospital by state pathologist Marie Cassidy at 1 o clock this afternoon.
Gardai and the family of David Colhoun expect the post mortem and DNA analysis to confirm that the remains are that of the missing 22-year-old.
David Colhoun has been missing since May.
Meanwhile the Garda Water Unit began searching the river at the Red Bridge at first light this morning.
