North West MEP Jim Higgins has challenged the HSE to prove that it is not re-hiring retired administrative level and nursing staff at the expense of young qualified and unemployed graduates.
He has been told by the HSE that its policy is that retired individuals should only be rehired in extreme circumstances and that guidelines are in place to this effect contrary to the MEP’s claims.
And the HSE has asked Mr Higgins to furnish evidence of his concerns – He says he has been contacted by numerous people across the northwest who will back his claims:
