Councillors at it again with claims of threats in the chamber

There’s been another flare up in the Donegal Council Chamber less than a fortnight after a meeting agreed that members would observe standing orders and not interrupt or challenge colleagues while speaking.
The latest row cam as Cllr Frank Mc Brearty sought to move an emergency motion that the council would provide money for road safety works on four roads in the Stranorlar electoral area.
However, he refused to amend the motion at the request of some other members who were concerned at the potential funding issues it would raise.
It was when one of those questions was being raised by Cllr Seamus O’Domhnaill that the latest flare up occurred.
