There are calls for people living in and around towns who are not currently connected to the public sewer system to be allowed to do so.
The call has been made by Councillor Ian McGarvey – a similar proposal was made for the Letterkenny Town Council area recently – but the Ramelton representatives wants that extended county wide.
When he raised the issue this week, Councillor McGarvey was given a favourable response by council officials who told him that funding from national government would be sought to progress the idea.
