Man charged with attempted murder of Letterkenny man sent for trial

A man charged with the murder of a Derryman and the attempted murder of a Letterkenny man has been sent for trial at Derry Magistrate’s Court today.
47 year-old Paul Greatbanks  whose address was given as c/o Maghaberry Prison appeared at a preliminary enquiry.
He was charged with the murder of Patrick Harkin and the attempted murder of Paul Mythen on February 20 last year.
It was accepted there was a case to answer and Greatbanks said he did not wish to call any witnesses or make any statement at this time.
Greatbanks was returned for trial to appear at Laganside court in Belfast on June 22.
