The service of inserting defibrillators and pacemakers at Letterkenny General Hospital is to be restored.
The procedures were temporarily suspended on 1st September last year in what was described as a cost containment measure.
At the time the HSE gave a commitment to review the restoration of this service in 2012 and today the executive confirmed that the services will be available again from next week.
