Newspaper editor fined equivalent of €1,200 for Michaela McAreavey photos

A newspaper editor has been fined the equivalent of €1,200 for publishing photographs of the body of Michaela McAreavey.
The 27-year-old daughter of County Tyrone GAA manager, Mickey Harte was murdered on her honeymoon in Mauritius in January 2011.
The Mauritian Sunday Times published pictures showing the crime scene and her body last year.
Editor Imraan Hosany, was found guilty yesterday of outrage to religious and public morality.
The fine of 50,000 Mauritian rupees was imposed this morning in the Intermediate Court in Port Louis by Magistrate Wendy Rangan.
Mr Hosany had faced a maximum sentence of two years imprisonment or a fine of 100,000 Mauritian rupees.
