Eglington cricket pitch damaged by vandals

Police in Derry are investigating a report of criminal damage in the Cottage Row area of Eglinton overnight.
A report was received at 9.40 am this morning, Wednesday 24 July that damage had been caused to the cricket pitch.
The covers of the pitch had been pulled apart and a substance poured over the grass causing extensive damage.
Police would asked anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area or anyone with any information about this incident to contact Strand Road Police Station on 0845 600 8000.
