Ahead of a cross party meeting,Taoiseach urged to committ to A5 project

An all party delegation from the North West cross border region will meet with the Taoiseach, Enda Kenny in Dublin this afternoon to discuss future funding of the A5 Donegal to Dublin dual carriageway project.
At a recent meeting, officials in Northern Ireland reaffirmed a commitment to the project and now there are calls on Enda Kenny to do the same.
The Irish government originally committed 450 million euro but reduced that to 50 million in 2011 stating it was not possible to provide the funding due to the economic climate
Work on the A5 is not expected to begin until at least the middle of 2015. – Deputy MacLochlainn, who will meet the Taoiseach today, says that may better suit Ireland’s finances:
