Two of the men killed in the single vehicle collision near Rathmullan in the early hours of this morning have been named locally as Shaun Graham – 19 – from Ballymacool in Letterkenny, and Matthew Crawford – 19 – from Elmwood Downs in Letterkenny.
Two other men who were in the vehicle at the time remain in a critical condition in Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry.
The incident happened at Kinnegar Bridge on the Rathmullan to Portsalon road at around 3.10am this morning.
The road at the scene is still closed as Gardai carry out a forensic investigation and diversions are in place.
Gardai have renewed their appel for witnesses to the incident and have asked anyone who seen a white Honda Integra in the area around 2.30 this morning to contact Milford Garda Station.
Letterkenny Town Mayor Pascal Blake has voiced his shock at the incident and offered his sympathies to the families involved.
