Resumption of normal visiting hours at Letterkenny General Hospital is hoped to be up and running in the next 24 hours.
The hospital had scheduled to allow visitors back this afternoon, however work on an access corridor between the old and a new section was unable to be completed in time. The decision to delay resuming visiting hours was made on medical advise.
The hospital has apologised for any incovenience this has caused to the public.
