James McClean transfer bid accepted by Sunderland

Championship side Wigan have had an undisclosed bid  for James Mc Clean accepted by Sunderland.

It’s understood the Irish international is not in Black Cats manager Paulo Di Canio’s long term plans.

Mc Lean has also been linked with Blackburn and Celtic in recent weeks.

Meanwhile, the PFA Cheif Gordon Taylor says he fears Luis Suarez attempted escape from Liverpool could drag on.

The 26 year old says he was told  he could leave if they did not reach the Champions league and Suarez admits he wants to go adding the club need to keep their promise.

Referring to an alleged buy out clause in the strikers contract Taylor says such clauses have caused no end of problems in the past and they continue to do so because of the way they were drafted at the time.

Arsenal are the only club to have made an offer so far, they’ve tabled around 45 million euro, Liverpool insist while they have to inform the player of offeres over 40 million pounds they don’t have to sell him.

Gunner boss Arsene Wenger says their move for the Uruguayan is on “stand by” at the moment.
