Derry City to Benefit from James McClean’s Move

Derry City could benefit by as much as 300,000 pounds following James McClean’s move from Sunderland to Wigan Athletic.
City had a sell-on clause written into the contract when McClean joined Sunderland from the Brandywell which entitles them to 15% of his next transfer fee.
McClean is thought to have cost Wigan Athletic 2 million pounds, meaning a timely financial windfall for the Brandywell club.
