Heffernan walks to World Championship gold as Boyce secures a new PB

Irelands Rob Heffernan has won gold in the 50 k walk at the World Championships in Moscow.
The Cork athelte lead throughout the latter half of the race in hot conditions in Moscow and completed the course in a time of 3 hours, 37 minutes and 56 seconds, the second fastest ever time at the World Championships.
Donegal’s Brendan Boyce was in 25th place with a new personal best of 3:54:24.
