O’Cuiv urges Government to invest in West of Ireland

o cuivThe government is being urged to ringfence a significant proportion of the new Ireland Strategic Investment Fund for the West and North West.
Galway TD and former minister Eamon Ó Cuív says the West is consistently left behind when it comes to enterprise investment, and this new fund should be used to kickstart new projects in the region from Donegal to Clare.
Mr O’Cuiv says with a total fund of 6.7 billion euro included in the new fund, the Western Development Commission should be given a minimum of 100 million euro to invest on local projects.
He says the commission has already proven it is up to the job………..
