The Mayor of Buncrana has said he does not see where jobs are going to come from, even if there is an economic recovery in Europe as some commentators are suggesting.
Cllr Peter Mc Laughlin says emigration remains a major issue in Buncrana, a fact which was highlighted recently when it emerged that All Ireland medal winning footballer Ryan Bradley is leaving the town to work abroad.
Cllr Mc Laughlin says the pattern of emigration seems to be changing, with people going to build new lives in places like Australia and the US, and that he believes reflects a growing belief that there won’t be any significant job boost for Inishowen for the foreseeable future……………
