The Health Ministers in Stormont and Dublin are being urged to examine the possibility of creating a North West Connected Health Innovation Corridor to promote digital medicine in the region and maximise the potential of electronics and information technology.
Foyle MLA Maeve Mc Laughlin says a conference in Derry in May heard that such a designation would be of huge benefit for the region, and all the facilities necessary are already available.
She’s calling on Health Minister Edwin Poots to discuss the issue with Minister James Reilly in Leinster House with a view towards assessing and harnessing the opportunities available in the North West……….
