Former mayor calls for demolition of school after another arson attack

A former mayor of Derry is calling for the demolition on the old St Peter’s School in the Creggan after the roof of the school was badly damaged in an arson attack last night, the second at the school in less than ten weeks.
The blaze was reported at around 8.30 and brought under control just before midnight. At one point, local residents were advised to close windows amid fears that the roof might have contained asbestos.
Cllr Kevin Campbell says the area has now become a magnet for anti-social behaviour, and must be demolished and secured…………..
