A Councillor has said he is disappointed at the lack of public support for the retention of town Councils.
The issue was discussed during this weeks monthly meeting of the council with members again stressing their opposition to plans to scrap town councils.
During a debate on the subject, the Association of Municipal Authorities was criticised for not doing enough to fight the plans while the media was also slammed for its coverage of the issue.
And Councillor Jim Lynch criticised the electorate – he says the work the council does is not appreciated……….
