Former Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Shay Given says he thinks it’s time for Giovanni Trapattoni to be replaced as Ireland manager.
Speaking to TalkSport, the 37 year old said Trap had ‘a good run’ but it was ‘time for someone else to take the reins’.
The Italian however has insisted this week he deserves an extended time in charge.
The Republic of Ireland prepare to take on Austria in an all-or-nothing clash tonight where a win will still only give us the slimmest of qualification hopes.
