€1.9 million in tax settlements was paid by Donegal companies and individuals

Over 1.9 million euro in tax settlements was paid by Donegal companies and individuals in the second quarter of the year.
In total, the Revenue Commissioners received over 22.6 million euro from 136 settlements between April and the end of June.
Six of the Donegal settlements were for figures in excess of 100,000 euro.
In the biggest settlement from Donegal, retired fisherman and company director Denis J Boyle of Acres, Burtonport paid just over 896,000 euro, including interest and penalties.
Supermarket proprietor Owen Boyle of Kilmacrennan paid just over 277,000 euro, while farmer and site vendor Karol Mc Elhinney of Dooisdh, Ballybofey paid just 184,000 euro.
Shop and forecourt owner Martin Doherty of Middletown, Derrybeg paid just over 148,000 euro, Lagg Service Station in Lagg, Milford paid just over 119,000 euro and company director Emer Brennan of Glenties Road, Ardara paid just over 104,000 euro.
There were four other settlements in Donegal ranging from 34,000 to 54,000 euro.
